Data quality monitoring with rules you never had to write

Rules generated, not hand-written

Data quality tooling usually means a second product, a second rule language and a second team writing checks by hand. In Veracy the checks already exist: they are the quality expectations in the contract, generated from the source and enforced where the data flows.

Today

Quality checks are written after an incident, one at a time, and run as a separate job that reports problems after the data has already reached the dashboard. Coverage is whatever someone had time to write.

What Veracy does

  1. 01

Profiling proposes the rules — types, ranges, uniqueness, referential integrity, freshness — and the contract records them as expectations.

  2. 02

The rules are enforced in the pipeline itself. A row that violates a contract is quarantined before it reaches the serving layer; it never becomes part of a report.

  3. 03

Profiling keeps running. Drift and anomalies — a distribution that moved, a volume that halved — are flagged against the contract, with the evidence attached.

What you get

  • Complete coverage

every contracted column has rules from day one, because the rules are generated, not authored.

  • Bad data never reaches a decision

enforcement happens before serving, not in a report after the fact.

  • Evidence, not alerts

a failure keeps its rows, its rule and its contract version, so the fix starts from facts.

Questions

Do I need a separate data-quality product?
No. The quality rules are part of the data contract and are enforced by the same engine that builds the warehouse. There is no second rule language and no second scheduler to keep in sync.
What happens to rows that fail a rule?
They are quarantined with the rule and the contract version that rejected them. The serving layer only ever contains rows that passed, and the quarantine is visible to the owner named in the contract.
Can I add my own rules?
Yes — in the contract, during review or at any later version. Your rule is then generated and enforced exactly like the proposed ones, with the same evidence on failure.
