Agentic BI: analytics for people and AI agents, with a receipt on every answer

Dashboards and agents, one governed number

The next consumer of your data is not a person with a dashboard; it is an agent with a task. Agentic BI means both get the same governed number, and both can prove where it came from. Veracy serves people and agents through one path and attaches a receipt to every answer.

Today

AI agents are bolted onto data stacks with broad credentials and no way to verify what they return. Dashboards are trusted because they are familiar, agents are distrusted because they are new — and neither can actually prove its number.

What Veracy does

  1. 01

Dashboards, scorecards and agents all ask the semantic layer, through the governed engine, with the asker's own access rights.

  2. 02

Every answer is compiled deterministically and returned with a receipt: metric version, contract version, evidence, policy applied.

  3. 03

The receipt is verifiable offline. An auditor, a partner or another agent can check it without asking Veracy — machine-to-machine trust with no negotiation.

What you get

  • One governed number

the dashboard, the scorecard and the agent agree, because they computed the same definition.

  • Verifiable, not just explainable

a receipt an auditor can check is stronger than a chart someone can describe.

  • Safe to give agents

they only ever see what their principal may see, and every answer they return is provable.

Questions

What is in a receipt?
The metric and contract versions the answer was computed from, the policy that was applied, and a verifiable summary of the evidence. It is an offline-checkable artefact, not a log line.
Can I connect my own AI agents?
Yes. Agents connect over open protocols (including MCP), inherit their principal's access rights inside the engine and receive the same receipts as any dashboard.
Do I need to replace my BI tool?
No. Existing BI tools consume the semantic layer like any other client. Veracy adds governed definitions and receipts underneath the tools you already use.
